From 6:00-9:00pm tonight, Greenwood Avenue will shut down to cars between N. 65th and N. 87th Streets for a combo art walk and block party as part of the Seattle Summer Streets program. (via Greenwood blog) The weather may not be the best, but taking in the art while treating yourself to a progressive few hours of snacking could make for a good time. Picnic (6801 Greenwood Ave. N.) hosts a special wine tasting party with Parejas Cellars; $8 gets you a taste of 5 different wines paired with appetizers from their deli. Stop by Oliver’s Twist for happy hour from 5:00-7:00pm and get $2 off their cocktail menu; or if you like a good dive and also are in to hunting bucks check out Ed’s Kort Haus. (You can also read about Ed’s in Mike Seely’s new book, Seattle’s Best DIve Bars. Plug!)
