Field Roast’s famous links of winning! It’s a good day to be a vegetarian in Seattle! GrubHub, the popular online food-ordering service, has ranked Seattle in the pole position as the nation’s top vegetarian-friendly city. While the website surely used some kind of complicated algorithm to tally the results, any Emerald City veg-head worth his or her quinoa knows Sea-Town is where it’s at. From our very own grain meat company to Safeco’s gourmet ballpark franks to our scores and scores of raw, vegan, and just plain ol’ vegetarian haunts, Seattle is THE place to live if you’re an herbivore. If you’re thinking of celebrating tonight, my completely unbiased suggestion is to peruse the annals of Beet Street (or check out our recent list of Seattle’s Top 10 Vegetarian Restaurants), make a reservation at one of those fine vegetarian establishments, and dine on your meatless meal in good company! Congratulations, Seattle!
