Everything in Ballard seems to have finally slowed down… After two weeks

Everything in Ballard seems to have finally slowed down… After two weeks full of restaurant openings My Ballard blog only has one new spot to report for this week. Rizzo’s French Dip is open, a block north of Lunchbox Laboratory on 15th Ave. As for what they specialize in, you’ll never guess. The owners say they’ll add more sandwich options later on down the line, but for now it’s just French dips.

Looks as though Cafe Stellina on Capitol Hill has closed for good, reports the Capitol Hill Seattle blog, which has tried to contact the owners to no avail. Meantime, Makini Howell (of Hillside Quickies on 15th Ave. E.) looks as though she and her partners are trying to assume the liquor license for Stellina’s location.

Lastly, La Mondellina in Magnolia is open, Frantic Foodie tells us. This homemade Italian takeout kitchen comes equipped with an Italian grandma cooking before your very own eyes.
