Here’s a brief rundown of this week’s restaurant news:

Everybody loves a beer garden!
Starting on Capitol Hill, Cafe Kanape is now open at 700 Broadway Ave. E. The Eastern Europe-inspired menu features canapes I(aka finger food), crepes, and salads.
On First Hill, M Street Grocery at 801 Madison St. held its last day of business yesterday, due to unaffordable rent. That means neighborhood residents will need to start loading up on food at the closest QFC on Broadway.
In Greenwood, a second installation of The Dray is coming to 8313 Greenwood Ave. N. The Yard (Dray spelled backwards) will launch its full bar and restaurant menu in March, and a covered beer garden at a later date.
Lastly, in West Seattle, the owners of Alki Cafe are opening another business next door in the former Alki Bakery space at 2738 Alki Ave. S.W. Beachside Cafe will serve ready-to-go items and favorites from the defunct bakery, also in March.
