It’s safe to say that beyond salmon, the two other dishes you could call Seattle’s spirit food are banh mi and pho. Over the weekend in Little Saigon, the community came together to celebrate Vietnamese culture and the dishes that have become so near and dear to the city’s heart at the 7th Annual Banh Mi fest. Highlights included a kids’ cream puff eating competition, as well as a pho and banh mi eating contest for the adults—all fiercely fought, as you’ll see from our GIFs below.
