“Brrrreeeeep! Make that THREE Cosmoquilas!”The Place:

Hagerty’s at the WAC, 1325 6th Ave, 622-7900The Hours: 3-6 p.m. daily. The Deal: Half-priced appetizers and daily drink specials, including $2 pints on Monday, half off select cocktails on Wednesday, and half-priced drafts all day Sunday. The Digs: One must be or know a member of the Washington Athletic Club in order to gain access to its sports bar, Hagerty’s. Given that the WAC is sort of an old-moneyed downtown institution, you’d think this would mean a coat and tie environment in virtually every nook and cranny, save for the racquetball courts. But Seattle’s a casual town, and Hagerty’s is a sports bar, where the bartenders dress in zebra-striped referee shirts. While the atmosphere is decidedly unpretentious, the menu exhibits a gourmet flare that you won’t find in many sports bars. Order chicken wings at Bad Albert’s, for instance, and what you get are plump wings with finger-staining sauce. Order them at Hagerty’s, however, and they come with jasmine rice, Asian slaw, and sweet chili sauce, as though Morimoto had a say in the matter. The Verdict: Splendid, if you can get in, and potentially raucous if you’re comfortable enough in your own skin to order a drink called the Cosmoquila, a blue bomber which contains tequila, Cointreau, cranberry juice and lime juice.
