(best Charlton Heston impersonation) NoooOOO!!!… I am definitely late to the party on this one, as I knew Stickman Coffee in Fremont shut their doors late last year. (What will happen to the people terrarium?) What I did not know is that Dismas Smith, the owner of Stickman, a North American Barista Champion AND the barista most likely to serve you, also sold his Borogove Coffee roastery that he co-owned with Tim McCormack. I was unable to reach Smith, but the fine people of Seattle Coffee Works, who carried Borogove along with a host of other micro-roasters, told me that Kate LaPoint of specialty foods and coffee supply distributor Sound Provisions bought Borogove. I will always be sad that I never got to savor one last cup, and I will try to find out what plans lie ahead for the company, if any.
