Avoiding any cracks about alliteration, Seattle’s neighborhood blogs have just posted news about two new restaurant closures: MyBallard blog reported on Friday that Via Verde, the pizza place and bar on Market Street, has been evicted. Via Verde opened right in the middle of the Great Ballard Pizza Glut of 2008, and the surrounding competition seems to have doomed it.This morning, the West Seattle Blog reported that Ama-Ama has posted a notice on its door announcing that its last day will be Saturday, July 25. That gives you a week to head in for the oyster happy hour and to pay your respects to the staff.
