As someone who lives in West Seattle and likes good music, I am very excited for the opening of The Feedback Lounge in January.Co-proprietor Jeff Gilbert and his two business partners decided to open their dream-come-true in the former space of Beveridge Place (on the corner of Beveridge Pl. and California Ave.), which moved down the block.Jeff, a former senior editor of The Rocket, tells me he plans to decorate the 38-hundred square foot space with couches, bench seating, tables and chairs, two bars, pleather cutains and the old piano from The Dog House which he bought at auction for $50. Oh, and of course, Jeff assures me he will serve above average pub food. He did, afterall, hire the former chef of Stellar pizza.Jeff, a collector of everything rock and roll, says he’ll have a plasma tv, but, “Absolutely no sports. We’ll have only vintage rock stuff, like music videos, concerts, dvd bootlegs, the works.”And no jukebox, either, he promises.”Once we get our wheels spinning we’ll have Sinatra Sundays, Motown Mondays, Blues and Seattle music days; you get the idea.”There will also be a few live concerts scattered throughout the year, both inside and outside in the communal parking lot shared by Zeek’s pizza which is moving into the former The Corner Lounge next door.Jeff says right now, he’s planning on being open seven days a week from 4 p.m. until around 2 a.m. and future brunch service is not out of the question. I just hope they have a Sunday Bloody Mary Sunday on the menu.
