1. First, Ba Bar rolled out its version of the uber-trendy Cronut™ and called it the “croughnut” to differentiate. Then, the original Cronut™ creator sent Ba Bar a letter insisting on a name change. So like any savvy restaurant, Ba Bar held a contest asking patrons to think up a new name. The winner out of 140 entries? “Double Happiness,” (or 喜喜: a “Chinese notion of doubling joy”) from Dr. Adam Golden. Congrats to Dr. Golden, who gets to take home 100 of the pastries. Let’s hope they freeze well. (Runners-up include My Little Donut, Croughbar and Glazed and Confused.) Get your Double Happiness at Ba Bar starting this weekend.
