Best Car/Rideshare: Uber

The people have spoken.

Launched in Seattle in August 2011, Uber quickly became the go-to application for folks looking to find a designated driver after a night out on the town. We can’t be certain, but we’re pretty sure that Uber cinched the popularity vote here in Seattle after giving riders the opportunity to take a relaxing ride home in a freaking dump truck filled with candy bars. The fact remains that Seattleites love the convenience, whether they’re using the ridesharing app to supplement public transportation or to get a ride home after one too many adult beverages. uber.com

First runner-up: Lyft

Second runner-up: Car2Go
