All children go through the I want to play the drums phase where they beat out rhythms on anything and everything. The Seattle World Percussion Societys World Rhythm Festival is an opportunity for young and old to do just that. Bring your own drum, or rent one on site, at this 15th annual festival (through Sun. April 27), where more than 100 workshops will be offered. Yes, as youd expect, spontaneous drumming circles do often erupt, but you can also groove to the work of 70 professionals in 20 performances. The events International Marketplace offers ethnic crafts and a large selection of percussion instruments from around the world. Bring shakers, bells, or even a triangle. Anything that makes noise is welcome. Seattle Center, 305 Harrison St., 684-7200, www.swps.org. Free. 10 a.m.-10 p.m. JOSHUA LYNCH
