Now comfortably ensconced in its new, roomier Pioneer Square home, Howard House celebrates with a solo show of new work by Ken Kelly, winner of the Seattle Art Museum’s 1989 Betty Bowen Award. Kelly’s abstract paintings, made with stencils and mirrors, are thick with a kaleidoscopic array of forms that make subtle references to human anatomy and symbols of danger. (Prince is above.) Also on the walls of Billy Howard’s new space is the group show “About the House,” featuring variations on the pleasures and pressures of domestic life by Yoshi Abe, Susan Dory, Dan Webb, Henry Wessel and others.
