The Floydian Slips

Saturday, January 5

Didn’t do the whole “quiet reflection” thing over the holidays? That’s what damp, dark January is for, and that’s also what Pink Floyd are good for, pretty much anytime. Tonight, the Portland 8-piece that’s been covering Floyd for a decade bring their act to town for the first time, and to a venue that’s mighty good to burrow in. Sit back and relax as the Slips do the greatest hits—the early show scales the Wall, Animals, Wish You Were Here, and Meddle—and for the late show, Dark Side in its entirety. Keyboardist/vocalist Asher Fulero adds: “We’ll be sporting a relatively ridiculous light show with a FULL complement of lasers and video projections of Floyd’s classic stage videos.” Keep smiling, keep shining.
