The Family 4th at Lake Union again delivered a pride-inducing Independence day display of explosives sure to make any pyromaniac swoon. Between the inflatable, life-size head of the Statue of Liberty, free-flowing beer garden, high energy of the Dusty 45’s music, and a synchronized display set to a soundtrack that included everything from Katy Perry’s Fireworks (how original) to Beethoven’s 9th Symphony it was enough to make everyone proud to be American, at least temporarily.Photos by Catherine Anstett.Published on July 5, 2011
