Some come for the artistry, some for the artistically-spinning fringe pasties. I’ve been to the Moulin Rouge, and I can guarantee that these ladies and gents are definitely giving you more bosom for your buck. Starkly defined by a stripped-down set, more than half-a-dozen beauties of both genders bare the sins of their, ah, souls to the audience in the Rendezvous’ shabby-chic JewelBox theatre. Progressing through the Seven Deadlies, internationally-acclaimed producer and performer Jacqueline Hyde leads her well-endowed lovelies through a series of humorous and daring vignettes, featuring lots of class and little clothing. In “Vanity,” the lineup (including Lolita L’Amour, EmpeRoar Fabulous, and other talented stripteasers), shimmied their way around chairs; some donned the archetypical Catholic schoolgirl uniform; at one point one lost a pasty (to roaring audience approval). The costumes (or lack thereof) are fabulous, the dancing is scandalous, and the songs (like “Boys Want Sex in the Morning”) are hilarious. What more could you ask for?
