strawberryluna

Indie music fans are already familiar with artist strawberryluna’s work. The Pittsburgh designer—who declines to give her real name—creates awesome, eye-catching posters for bands like Rilo Kiley, The Decemberists, and Death Cab for Cutie. In her first solo exhibit, “Short & Sweet,” she shares her bright-colored silkscreen prints. Amongst these playful images are a blue puppy gobbling down sausage links, and a portrait of George Washington that looks as if it were created using a Lite-Brite. The inspiration behind strawberryluna’s arresting art: telephone poles. “I used to swipe posters [off them] starting as a teenager and well into my late 20s,” she reveals. (Closed Mon.) ERIKA HOBART
