Repetition includes works in diverse media, all with a pronounced OCD bent. Among our favorite objects: a suitcase full of beer cans (both the original and the painting). Self Poor Trait/Self Portrait comprises all the beer Stockton drank during a month in 2009, 94 cans in total, she sheepishly admits. Why place them in a suitcase? They’re “my own personal baggage,” she explains. Nearby is a jumble of white broken hammers, One Hit Wonders, where the 40 tools have been modeled in plaster so that one strike on a nail leaves them shattered. What happens to the nails? Perhaps we’ll see in a future show. Also on view: Monika Dalkin and Sarah Dillon’s A Place to Call Home. BRIAN MILLER
