Christmas cash burning a hole in your wallet? Were never without ideas of where to frivolously spend it, and one of this weeks best involves the Seattle Laserdome. Things you might not know about the 25-year-old venue: 1. The geodesic dome was designed by Buckminster Fuller for the 62 Worlds Fair, and remains the largest single-purpose laser theater in the world. 2. That purpose seems to be hosting laser-lit listening parties (for Queen, Floyd, and the usual classic rock suspects) and live shows by mellow psych bands like Grizzly Bear and Voyager One. 3. Tonights show is a Radiohead premiereand we do hope its for their densely atmospheric new album, In Rainbows! 4. $50 to the laserist before the show buys your sweetheart an unforgettable moment of mid-show embarrassment. Thats right, you can get the laser to read whatever you want, whether its Marry Me or Pablo Honey Forever.
