With a name like Whim Whim, you would think that Olivier Wevers newish dance company specializes in the cute and charming, but youd only be partially correct. Wevers, late of Pacific Northwest Ballet, has made some beautiful and, yes, whimsical pieces, but last winters show leaned toward the harsh side. One of the stars of that show was Monster, a dark look at addictions of all sorts. Wevers is reprising Monster for ReSet, but hes also reviving Three Seasons, a fascinating movement collage set to portions of Vivaldi, and creating a new, more lighthearted work (as yet unnamed). In all, hes celebrating his birthday, his retirement from PNB, and his full-time commitment to this new venture with some great dancing, and possibly some cake. SANDRA KURTZ
