Nick Hornby, known for his telling narratives of the male psyche (High Fidelity, About A Boy), has found a new muse: the teenage male psyche. At the central library, hell be reading from Slam, his recently released young-adult novel. The story centers on Sam, an introspective young man who accidentally gets a girl pregnant and introspectively wonders what to do about it. A Lifetime movie cant be far away. (Or was it already made?) Slam has received stellar reviews thus far, enjoyed by teens and adults alike.
