Say whaaaat?! “Street food” = A 1962 Airstream trailer serving up stuff like poutine (that’s frites with cheese and gravy, mmm), as recently reported by our Jess Thomson? Only in Seattle (and perhaps, Montreal)! Making this discovery even more Seattle-elitist is the fact that the thing roams around, and you have to GPS map it to get to your Kobe beef sliders (yeah). So while Capitol Hill and the Central District await their very own taco truck, today the area at least has a chance to check out the Skillet trailer, when it parks next to the Bottleneck Lounge for a Hillside Harvest Feast. Bottleneck usually serves its own cute dishes like hummus platters and paninis, but offers libations only for this event. “Woof” down (sorry) cocktails hilariously named for dogs the Bottleneck owners know and love, like the “Dog Noir,” a twist on the traditional Dark & Stormy in honor of a pooch named Carmella. Then there’s the “Sumbitch,” a shot of Maker’s and a pint of PBR in honor of the gregarious-looking mutt Cody. There’s a taste for every chowhound here.
