Photographer Fred Muram is a hands-on type of guy. So before shooting his short film Stuck, he super-glued his hand to his face before letting his models glue their noses together. And for his Kissing the Ceiling series of photos, part of the group show New Photo (through Aug. 23), the comical shutterbug based his concept, in which models reach high with their lips to smooch the roof, on a game he played with his girlfriend. (Should we be surprised to hear theyre no longer dating?) For Muram, kissing drywall isnt so strange. His concepts are surely strange to consider, and they may inspire gallery-goers to try some new games at home. Kisses not guaranteed.
