Mount Vicious, Police Teeth, Madraso

Friday, November 14

When was the last time you went to a show with the intention of getting rowdy? If your answer is, “I can’t remember,” shake a few Susan B’s from the change jar, put on your Chucks and head out to the Jewel Box with eardrums prepared to be both tantalized and tortured, courtesy of local talent Police Teeth and Madraso. Known for their energetic shows, Police Teeth is taking the evening off from recording their full length album Real Sixe Monster Series, due out in February, to burn off some post-election energy while local favorites Madraso lay down bass lines thick and dirty enough to trip over. But don’t be surprised if Oakland’s Mount Vicious ends up stealing the whole show with their slick combination of shred-tastic guitars and too-cool-to-care tunes like “Wherewolf” and “Steroid Unicorn.”
