Its tough to think of more than a handful of female artists whove remained on the scene for more than 20 years, and while Madonna had her moment of transgression in the early 90s, the significantly less-well-known Lydia Lunch has made that theme her lifes work since the late 70s. Originally a mistress of New Yorks No Wave movement and the muse of deviant filmmaker Richard Kern, Lunchs own music, visual art, and spoken word have kept her on the radar of every passionate punk and social outcast that seeks her out. Also in town for the U.S. release of her 1997 book, Paradoxia: A Predators Diary, tonight she performs the solo show Hangover Hotel: Sick Poems and Twisted Grooves. Ononos and Flexions open.
