A friend of mine—who wishes to remain anonymous—has a pitchfork-wielding devil running across his right ass cheek, along with the inscription “Born to raise hell.” The very permanent piece stems from what he deems a momentary lapse in judgment (read: a drunken whim). Fortunately, the artists at Liberty Tattoo are more discerning in their work. They’ve even deterred would-be customers who appear to be under a different dangerous influence: Love. Those individuals often come back when they’re single to thank the staff. In addition to preventing potential disasters, the folks at Liberty are helping the Toys for Tots mission to collect Christmas gifts for children in need. Anyone who brings in a toy costing at least $20 with receipt today will receive a free tattoo from a selection of more than 100 designs. Some designs include names, so proceed with caution.
