Kids on Bikes

Wednesday, March 12

I’m so intrigued with Seattle’s Kids on Bikes and their matching white turtleneck/multi-colored eye make-up wearing selves; all of my descriptions of them wind up sounding delicious. For instance, “Kids on Bikes’ are like a hearty portion of Boards of Canada slathered in a decadent Clientele sauce and served on a plate of early Belle and Sebastian”. I know, I know, it makes them sound like they could be purchased at a tackily decorated chain restaurant with an appetizer and dessert, for a limited time, just $9.99. But be assured they are so much classier than that. And for a mere $6, this combo serves you some Laguna! and my favorite married electro-duo Cock and Swan, who are as rich, dreamy and sweet as any nine-layer, tripled dipped, caramel, fudge, peanut butter pie you could slowly kill yourself with.
