Anyone whos seen The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters (and if you havent, youre missing out), knows that old-school arcade competitions are making a comeback. And they can be every bit as exhilarating as the Super Bowl. Dont Tilt!, Georgetowns first invitational pinball tournament offers players that retro nostalgia. Spanning eight hours and three venues in a double-elimination flipper frenzy, the events randomly paired players will compete in head-to-head matches at nearby locations, moving from one to the next as the competition progresses. Entrants will all receive a commemorative T-shirt, and prizes from local businesses will be awarded in a variety of categories. The tourney offers only 32 slots, but spectators will be admitted free and are encouraged to boo drains and applaud multi-balls all evening. Arrive two hours early for a practice session.
