How are we to separate Cyclefest/BikeMania, bound together like Andy Schleck and Alberto Contador? BikeMania is the kid-oriented portion of todays velo-celebration, with a BMX stunt demo, treasure hunt, supervised riding, and pee-wee parade. Cyclefest is the beer-fueled, outdoor Tour de France viewing party that begins around dusk. Todays Stage 17, which tops out on the Col du Tourmalet, will be rebroadcast from Versus. (So if you already know the morning results, STFU about it.) Luxembourgs Schleck needs to gain more time on Contador before Saturdays time trial, when the Spaniard will likely beat him by a minute or more. Meanwhile, his GC hopes dashed by crashes and bonking back on Stage 8, seven-time champ Lance Armstrong may be seeking one last stage win on his farewell Tour. BRIAN MILLER
