Comedy Underground

Q: Why did the police arrest the turkey? A: They suspected it of fowl play. Q: What sound does a space turkey make? A: Hubble, hubble, hubble. Q: Why did they let the turkey join the band? A: Because he had the drumsticks. Surely there are better jokes to be heard at the Comedy Underground’s weekly non-profit comedy night—so do something good with your twelve bucks and your affluent guilt over the Thanksgiving feast. This mostly-political show, featuring Seattle’s Yoram Bauman, “the world’s first and only stand-up economist,” benefits a different non-profit each week. The Seattle P-I reports that organizer Bauman and his guests scored over $14K for local organizations (including the Bad Fruit Foundation and NARAL) last year. That, at least, is nothing to laugh at. But thanks to www.thanksgiving101.com for my opening segue.
