If you’re going to serve food until four in the morning, you’re going to serve drunk people. Ga Ga Loc joint should probably qualify as one of our Soak It Up features, as the Chinese restaurant knows well enough to get water and tea on the table stat. Don’t think about how freakishly fast your food arrives; just be glad to have some congee and noodles to soak up the liquid pollution. Prices are cheap, and though you’ll have no culinary revelations, it’s a nice change from all the late-night breakfast fare you usually have to resort to after an evening out. Bonus: As long as you remember your pleases and thank yous and that no, you can’t have a beer after 1:45 a.m., the staff seems perfectly comfortable dealing with the schnockered. Mmmmm, look at it all glistening… (Ga Ga Loc, 424 Maynard Ave. S., open at 11:00 a.m. every day, Sun-Thu until 3:00 a.m., Fri-Sat until 4:00 a.m.)
