1. The King County health department has shut down popular food truck My Sweet Lil Cakes, citing “potentially hazardous foods at unsafe temperatures” and the lack of “handwashing facilities” in their decision. The truck was a fixture on Capitol Hill and recently made appearances at Chuck’s Hop Shop’s Central District location. As of this writing, there’s been no word from the truck via their social media threads regarding their plans going forward.
2. To celebrate the Solstice this weekend, Agrodolce is extending its hours on Friday and Saturday night until 11:30 p.m. And on Saturday the Fremont restaurant will be serving brunch all day starting at 10 a.m. They’re also offering Solstice-themed food specials all weekend long, like a mini lamb burger with a pint of Fremont Brewing’s Summer Ale.
