Remember a few weeks back, I blogged about running into Tilson of the Saturday Knights on 45th. He was driving, I was waiting for the bus, and he leaned his head out the window of his Land Rover and said the new TSK album was done! Well, Pitchfork’s got some goods here on the album, which is called Mingle. If you’ve ever met the Saturday Knights, you’d know they are some dudes who know how to do just that…mingle. Especially Tilson. And it appears they used their social skills to rope in some heavies for this record, including guitar hero Kim Thayil, Sharon Jones’ Dap-Kings, and Jim Horn and the Muscle Shoals Horns (!!!!!!).And for those of you who couldn’t get enough of “45”, it’s the track that will open Mingle. Due June 24. Just. In Time. For. Summer!
