I have a hard time these days getting excited about driving all the way out to the Gorge to sit in the blazing sun with a bunch of drunk music nerds (especially the degenerates here at Reverb). So instead I agreed to cat sit and stayed in town. That did mean that for the first time ever, I went to Folklife. It was also crowded and hot full of drunk music nerds, but the Zydeco band playing when I got there was so darn enthusiastic and the girl above was dancing by jumping as high and fast as possible. Awesome, kiddo!
