Yes, it’s true, John Longenbaugh, the man who’s not really that into musicals, is going to learn to like them–and fast. Our theater columnist of the past two years has taken a full-time gig in the P.R. department at the 5th Avenue Theatre. He’ll have a final column in the Feb. 4 issue, summing up what he’s learned from this exercise and taking a look at the Seattle state of the art.It’s been a joy to be John’s editor. I love his passion, in all its irascible, geeky, righteous glory. And he’s a wonderful writer as well. I look forward to having him weighing in on our blog (though obviously not on any subjects touching the 5th). And I congratulate him for being the only person I know whose economic circumstances have taken a turn for the better in the past month.As for replacing him, damn.
