Memories of walking through Parisian streets always remind me of building picnics from the charcuterie, the patisserie and the rotisserie with roasting chickens and lovely, fat and salt covered new potatoes. If those mental images evoke hunger in your belly then you may want to head to Bastille Cafe & Bar in Ballard this week where they are celebrating the street food of Paris through tomorrow. Take your pick of items such as Tuna Nicoise Croustillant, Socca Geante or Foie Gras Eclairs.

For those of you that celebrate Passover and want something a bit different than matzoh and gefilte fish then you are in luck. Golden Beetle is hosting their 3rd Annual Passover Dinner series from April 4th through the 10th. Chef Maria Hines has developed a special five-course menu which takes into account the cultural meaning of each primary ingredient from the symbolism of an egg, bitter herbs, lamb and more. Dinner is $50/pp and Kosher wine pairings are optional for an additional $25.
