Courtney Love, aka the original Charlie Sheen, hasn’t Twote a Tweet since January when Twitter shut down her account because she’d turned it into a vile poop-chute of hate. Most of her loathsome spewings at the time were directed at fashion designer Dawn Simorangkir, who’d had the nerve to ask her to pay for some clothing she’d bought. For that, Love called her a “nasty, lying, hosebag thief,” among other things. Simorangkir sued for defamation. And now Love has shelled out a sweaty wad of cash to make the lawsuit go bye-bye.The grand total: $430,000.The case was not only interesting because it was the latest example of Love making news for something other than snarling into a microphone or passing a drug test. It was also notable because, well, someone was suing a star for some crazy shit she wrote on Twitter.Could normal folks no longer call each other hosebag thieves? Could Love have proven that Simorangkir was in fact a hosebag thief and therefore had the lawsuit tossed? Was everyone who retweeted her ramblings on the hook for libel as well? The world waited with hushed breath for the outcome. But like many things with Courtney Love, this too left people blue-balled.Now we’ll never know where the legal line in the crazed celebrity Twitter sand is actually drawn, until the next strung-out celebrity hosebags a foe.Follow The Daily Weekly on Facebook and Twitter.
