The Foghorns! On Saturday, the Vera Project and badass local Internet radio station Hollow Earth Radio are teaming up to hold a fundraiser at the Vera for their respective endeavors, and I highly recommend attending. Not only will there be vinyl to peruse, but some very excellent bands I like a lot, including The Foghorns, a band that’s fairly new to Seattle that trades in wintery, lonesome folk songs, and iji, a big brassy pop band, will be performing throughout the day along with 1985, June Madrona, Dashel Schueler and World History. Festivities start at 11 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. — and unlike most record fairs, it’s free to get in. Also, if you bring a shirt or other piece of fabric, you can get the Vera Project logo silk-screened onto it for $5.
