First the Seattle-based luxury retailer got busted trying to kill our kids. Okay, not exactly but the federal Consumer Product Safety Commission announced yesterday it fined Nordstrom $60,000 for failing to immediately report that lines of kids sweaters and jackets have drawstrings in the hoods. CPSC says: “These products, which the firm eventually recalled, pose astrangulation hazard that can cause death to children.” Then today the company reported November sales figures. Despite adding twelve stores nationwide, sales were down about 12 percent in November–taking in $707 million last month compared with $805 million last year.
