Upon waking up this morning, the first album that iTunes rudely shuffled into my cerebrum was Past Lives lastest EP, Strange Symmetry. Naturally, I found myself pondering the question: Isn’t it too early to be listening to this shit? It’s all heady, post-everything rock and roll and it inevitably woke me to full consciousness. For hours I’ve tried to find a sense of purpose in this waking moment and it finally hit me: Past Lives are playing at Neumos on Sunday night and we’ve got tickets to giveaway. The Seattle-based four-piece are opening up for Autolux, who we recently featured in this week’s music section. If you want a pair of tickets to the show, email us with the words Past Lives in the subject line and a winner will be chosen at random. And even if you don’t win, tickets for the show on Sunday are $12, it’s 21+, and definitely worth supporting. Just not at 5:30 a.m.
