Imagine! If I didn’t already love chocolate with the passion of a thousand burning suns, I would after my trip to Bellevue’s Amoré Chocolates. This little shop offers unique items like “margarita chocolates,” a party for the palate made with tequila and a twist of lime, and crispy caramels with just enough chew and just enough crunch. Amoré also offers classics like caramel marshmallows (first dipped in chocolate, then in caramel for a rich, fluffy, campfire feel) and milk-chocolate truffles (my pick would be the white-chocolate mocha). Most treats are available in dark and milk chocolate—and, if you’re very lucky, white. On weekdays you can watch them being made in the window. Everything at Amoré is delicious, including the fresh smoothies, espresso, and warm cookies, just like Mom used to make. I’d recommend the white-chocolate-macadamia-nut cookies, although the double-chocolate chip will prove most satisfying to the true chocolate fanatic. The staff is ultrafriendly, and happy to give you your first chocolate for free. 10149 Main St., 425-453-4553. BELLEVUE
