While it won’t be a full-blown budget, Gov. Jay Inslee will bust out his take and priorities on the state’s budget projected $1.3 billion shortfall (and how to close it) Thursday during a press conference in Olympia. As Andrew Garber of the Seattle Times notes this morning, the announcement is expected to include Inslee’s vision for funneling more money into education (as required under the state Supreme Court McCleary ruling), and his ideas for closing tax loopholes to provide additional revenue.
