Another twist in the effort to recall Port Commissioner Pat Davis. The State Supreme Court has now decided to hear oral arguments in the case. All indications when the court took it up earlier this month where that it was poised to make a decision without additional information or argument. (King County Superior Court last year ruled in favor of petitioner Chris Clifford, granting him the green light to start collecting the needed signatures to get his recall on the ballot. Davis appealed the case to the high court.) The court has scheduled oral arguments for June 26, a move that will no doubt please Clifford, who is representing himself and had hoped for a chance to make his case in front of the Supremes.
