I guess it’s the thought that counts?

In a special dedication at Boeing field today, Delta announced they are naming its new Boeing 737-900ER the “Spirit of Seattle” as a thanks to “the city of Seattle and the airline’s customers, employees and partners in the region.”

While the ceremony was more intended as a recognition of Delta’s history in the region, choosing to name the plane “Spirit of Seattle” in a Boeing airfield just weeks after Dick of the Week Jim McNerney decided to take 777X work elsewhere kind of stings.
