Meet William Zafra Velasco. He’s a 25-year-old unemployed student from San Dimas, Calif. He likes surfing, Thai food, and . . . actually, no, he mainly just likes ogling secret video footage that he took with a fake-towel-rack camera-thing he put in a Starbucks bathroom.Or so say the cops who arrested him.The Smoking Gun reports that Velasco’s camera was noticed by a Starbucks employee after being stuck to the wall for two days last month. Here’s a photo of the device. And here’s the view from the camera.Police caught Velasco when they viewed security-camera footage of him going into the store every hour and leaving with the towel-hanger/camera. They say he would take the device out to his car, download its contents onto his laptop, do whatever it is someone does with a laptop full of bathroom porn, then return the camera to its place on the wall. Some 45 women and children were said to have been recorded in those two short days.Velasco is free on $50,000 bail and will be back in court on June 21.Rule of thumb: Public restrooms that don’t have towels shouldn’t have towel hangers.
