It isn’t much to look at, and little necessities like toilet paper and bottled water are often in very short supply, but the Funhouse is tough to beat in terms of good times and loud music. With an “anything goes” atmosphere and a bar that does the bulk of its business in cheap beer and whiskey, it’s not hard to see why the Funhouse’s garage, rock, and punk shows are almost always so charged and lively. The large L-shaped room doesn’t lend itself to many quiet conversations between sets, but the outside caged-in patio, under the shadow of the monorail and Space Needle, has its own strange brand of charm, and the pool table provides a change of pace and a decent opportunity to develop some subplots within your rock and roll adventure. 206 Fifth Ave. N., 206-374-8400.
