MySpaceCielo’s alleged first contact with the girl was in a motel parking lot.Michael Cielo is a cheerleading coach with a ton of vocal, supportive former students in the area. They say he’s not capable of committing the crime authorities have charged him with. But one former pupil says different.According to court documents, Cielo had a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old student he met while working at Galaxy Cheer in Redmond. The alleged contact started in 2006 when documents say Cielo took the girl to a Motel 6 parking lot in Everett and asked her to perform a sex act. The relationship allegedly lasted more than a year, and included secret dalliances in the girl’s home while her parents were asleep, until the victim says she broke it off.Cielo’s fiancee, also a former Galaxy cheerleader, insists the 36-year-old is innocent. “This is untrue,” she told KIRO. “I don’t believe a word of it.”But authorities say they’ve got a copy of a phone call between Cielo and his accuser in which he allegedly makes some graphic admissions about their relationship. “Mr. Cielo made admissions, some very explicit admissions, to the intercourse that occurred with this 13-year-old child,” said Snohomish County Prosecutor Coleen St. Clair. Cielo is currently being held on $10,000 bail. Should he make it, a judge has ordered that he stay away from minors.
