They’re not doing a show in town, but Interpol will be at Sonic Boom Records on Capitol Hill next Saturday, September 4 at 6pm to sign copies of their new self-titled record (which will be officially released on September 7 on Matador Records). There’s only space for so many fans, so to guarantee entry, you’ve got to get to Sonic Boom in the morning (starting at 10am) to pre-order the record — you’ll also get tickets to the signing event at that time. There are only 200 tickets available, so if you’re an Interpol fan you’d better be getting up early (10 is early for a Saturday). The Vera Project will also be joining the fun — they’ve silk-screened a set of exclusive Interpol T-shirts for the event. You can purchase one for $10 or bring your own T-shirt and have them screen it for $5.Click through to watch a clip of Interpol performing their new single, “Barricade,” on Letterman last month, with their new bassist, Dave Pajo.
