Over at the Daily Weekly, Caleb Hannan informs us of the following: “The ‘worst in the country’ nickname was bestowed by the manager of Jack’s West Coast Loss Prevention Unit. So why is the SoDo location so bad? Because it exists in the ‘Twilight Zone.'”Adds Hannan: “According to cops, the fast food joint is a favorite hangout of drug dealers and ne’er do wells in part because it’s right next to a rehab center (to make it that much easier to entice returning customers), in the asscrack between two police districts (which are notoriously under-patrolled) and shoulder-to-shoulder with Beacon Hill’s crime-ridden wooded encampment, known locally as ‘the Jungle.'”Jack in the Crack.
