I met a friend for lunch in the ID this afternoon. Afterward we decided to cruise past Salumi just to see what was going on. It was 2:18 when we walked through the door and there was ABSOLUTELY NO LINE.In fact, for five minutes, my friend and I stood there as the staff cut samples for us to help us make a decision. It was incredible. I’d just put away a pound of bbq pork from King’s BBQ (I’m partial to Kau Kau, but my friend feels differently), so I couldn’t eat a whole sammy. But I picked up two to bring home for dinner. Do yourself a favor and get down there ASAP and do the same. This is unprecedented. I’ve never seen Salumi without at least a 45-minute wait on a Friday. They said they’d probably be open until about 3:30, or until they run out of meat.The holidays are not over, friends. This one package is still left under the tree.
